Turn Nap Time Into Income

Turn Nap Time Into Income

You don't have to choose between being a present mom and contributing financially.

From the kitchen table, during nap time, or after bedtime; you can create, earn, and feel proud of what you're building.

No fancy tools, no big spending upfront. Just patience and faith!

It's as easy as: picking up your shirt, ordering a print, press or iron at home, and sell.

This isn't hustle culture. Its purpose-filled work that fits your life and its possible!

You are more than a stay-at-home mom, and God placed creativity, strength, and provision in your hands for a reason.

Okay so let's walk through the steps!

There are tons of places to grab a shirt-Walmart, Hobby Lobby, Amazon, Jiffy. Really your opportunities are endless. But for the sake of this walk through, let's use Hobby Lobby for an example No I do not get any percentage of any sell from Hobby Lobby for advertising their shirts, I just happen to like using them!

So, Hobby Lobby has tons of different color options, sizes, materials, and brands to choose from and most of the time they are running a pretty good sale! Let's keep that price in mind when we make it to the total! $3.42 for an adult t-shirt!

Now, it's important to remember that not every customer is going to want a basic Gildan cotton shirt, and that's okay this is just a good starting point for reference to kick you off the ground!

Next, I would recommend making yourself an ETSY account, it's free to use and you have the opportunity to purchase digital files that you can upload to my shop to have printed and shipped to you! I mean endless opportunities of files from any holiday and event! You are also supporting other mamas when you do this!

Etsy.com

This is not a must, just there for a buffer!

You can also shop from designs I have in my shop, Sage & Pressed! I try to make sure I'm uploading fun new files for you all every week and run sales avidly! Most of my prints can range from $1-5 dollars.

So, once you have your shirt, and upload your file for me to print I will ship it out within a few days! During this time, use that print you chose and make a fun "mock-up" for people to see exactly what you're offering. You can advertise this on your social media platforms, Marketplace, Etsy, Amazon, Shopify, etc. Depending on the platform you use, this part is free and can be done during nap time, after dinner, before the kiddos wake in the morning, or just really whenever you have a few minutes! Because it's really that fast and easy! I'll give you a walk through on how to use Canva for a "mock-up" in another post!

Moving on! This is where it gets fun! By now your print would have shown up, your mock-up is ready, people are like "oh girl that is so cute, I need it" and you have orders to fulfill.

There are a couple ways to apply the transfers to your shirts, a household iron or heat press!

If you already have an iron, USE IT! It will work for now, and at no extra cost to your start up. Once you have a stockpile of orders and money flowing then you can use those funds to invest in better equipment. Everyone starts somewhere! Remember that! Just make sure you get on your handy dandy safari and check proper settings when using an iron on your DTF prints and the material of your shirts, hoodies, or bags!

Then, SELL!

No inventory overload!

No big learning curve!

No pressure!

Just simple steps and real results!

God didn't call you to survive this season of your life, He called you to grow. This isn't a "side hustle" it's a way for you to stay home and nurture your family while saying, "I can also help provide, even if only a little"

Okay so let's talk numbers, because we want to make sure it will work right?

Blank Shirt-$3.42 (Basic)

DTF Print-$5 (Let's just shoot high)

Total Cost Per Shirt $8.42

Selling one? Let's just say you sell that for $25, girl that is a $16.58 profit! So, what if you sold it for $30? That's $21.58!

Now I want you to take a look at that number in a larger quantity.

$8.42 x 5 = $42.10 (That's not bad overhead)

Sell for $25 each:

$125 total...that's a $82.90 profit with just 5 shirts!

Sell for $30 each:

$150 total...that's a 107.90 profit with 5 shirts!

And that's only the start!

That's groceries, gas, or a bill paid-from one small batch! IT IS POSSIBLE, MAMA!

Start Small. Just start!

You don't have to do everything, but twenty shirts could create breathing room for you.
